Out of the Lab and into the Field
The Yocto Project Developer Meetup brings developers together for technical exchange about layers, board support, build workflows, security, and products in the field. Share a problem you solved, an approach you can demonstrate, or a question the community can explore together.
We welcome talks, demonstrations, and interactive sessions from developers at different organizations. Focus on practical engineering: methods, evidence, and lessons that others can use. Proposals should relate to Yocto Project or OpenEmbedded and be educational in nature.

Suggested topics
From the first build to a maintained product: show the choices, constraints, and lessons behind your embedded Linux work.
Maintainable layers, board bring-up, multiple hardware targets, and managing upstream changes.
CI/CD, test automation, dependency management, supply-chain evidence, and repeatable releases.
Updates, vulnerability handling, long-term support, and product lifecycle decisions.
Faster iteration, debugging build failures, application workflows, containers, and useful tooling.
What changed between a reference build and a shipped system, including constraints and lessons learned.
Have another Yocto Project or OpenEmbedded topic? Propose a session that advances the technical conversation.
Proposal details →Submit a proposal
Propose a technical talk, demonstration, or interactive session that gives other developers a useful method, a clearer understanding, or a practical starting point.
Selection will consider technical value, clarity, feasibility within the three-hour program, and a balanced range of community perspectives. Commercial pitches are outside the scope of this meetup. The meetup aims to feature two to five technical talks with speakers from different organizations. The final agenda is subject to project review.
A working title and a short, public-facing abstract suitable for the agenda.
The problem or question, your approach, and what attendees will learn.
Your proposed format and approximate duration: talk, demonstration, or interactive session.
Name, organization, brief biography, and contact information.
Any hardware, software, connectivity, room, or accessibility requirements.
The proposal form and submission dates are pending organizer confirmation. Proposals cannot be submitted from this page yet.
